the brief

Following a strategic decision by the parent company to create localised identities for their factories around Europe, the operation in Bridgend needed a rebrand.

Our good friends at New Realm Creative delivered the new branding and brought us in as their signage partner to bring it to life.

As with any rebrand, it’s important to deliver two net results, consistency and awareness. We were asked to implement signage at the front of the building and in the foyer.

the idea

Formation Furniture frequently hosts Buyers from leading furniture retailers so they can preview new collections and discuss contracts.

Creating brand impact from the moment they pull up in the carpark, move into the main reception and throughout the factory was key.

We needed to suggest a sign solution that would bring the bold, modern brand to life and give it some punch whilst still looking smart and professional.

technical

The Exterior sign on the front of the factory building was one of the key placements to show off the new brand. Laser cut 10mm thick acrylic letters with colour matched vinyl face bonded to a three-metre powder coated sign tray were used for a solid on-brand look.

The Interior sign in the foyer followed the same material specification as the Exterior sign with a printed logo matt to continue the branding as visitors move inside the building.

the final result

The sign systems created a bold, stand-out look for the new Formation Furniture brand, whilst staying tasteful, professional and on brand.

The brand impact at the front of the factory, moving into the foyer is eye-catching and will certainly place the new branding in the mind of the visitor.
