Bridgend College is a further education college based in Bridgend, Wales. Founded in 1928 as the Bridgend Mining and Technical Institute, the college today has four campuses in Bridgend, Pencoed, Queens Road and Maesteg. In 2019 it was awarded TES FE College of the Year and a ‘Double Excellent’ inclusive college.
The brief
Following two years of Covid restrictions, the 2022/23 academic year allowed Bridgend College to give the new intake of students the full campus experience.
In preparation, the Coleg went all out on the campus branding, including extensive window branding on two prominent buildings at Bridgend and Pencoed, respectively.
The idea
The window graphics were used to showcase the range of courses available.
We used high-definition performance contra vision film, a perforated film that created visual impact from the outside but didn’t obscure the view from within the building.
This was printed and hand-cut in-house to ensure precision for a technical fit.
Delivery
We were delighted with the finished result as it was a tricky installation, with the artwork having to flow precisely from pane to pane.
